Why must we save the Bees?

Because we need to believe that we are still able to prevent the World from reaching its tipping point. We all know that our Earth is suffering. We can’t keep ignoring the fact that our climate is changing and we can’t keep pretending that the melting of the icecaps, deforestations, wildfires, drought and the extinction of various animals species isn’t happening.
Therefore, we must not turn a blind eye to (these special little creatures known as) bees. These small insects are more important to our Earth’s life cycle than we think! Without them, we wouldn’t have many of the several species of flowers and fruits we see today.

We’re not just talking about honey and beeswax which are primarily used in the cosmetic(and food) industries.

In fact, 70% of the world’s crop production depends exclusively on bee pollination, because it allows the reproduction of plants. If plants disappear, then almost all of the species of animals that feed on them will, unfortunately, suffer the same fate (including us).  A third of our food consumption depends on bees!

Albert Einstein once said: “If bees disappeared off the face of the earth then mankind would only have four years of life left”. No more bees lead to no more pollination, which leads to no more plants, no more animals and ultimately no more “us”.

We can’t prove whether or not the disappearance of bees will bring about our ultimate demise in 4 years, but one thing is certain, we must preserve the existence of bees: they’re an essential part of our ecosystem, and therefore, for the human race.

In addition, according to a survey carried out in Chile, determined that bees are the only living species that don’t carry any form of pathogens.

Therefore, in order to help contrast this crisis, our new line of jewels labelled “Ten Small Bees” has come out, as our way to help adopt a form of responsibility in protecting our amazing “blue marble”.

10% of our sales will be donated to an association or a project for the protection of bees. The list of beneficiaries will be sent with the purchase.
